FMP Proposal

Well taking my research from my summer project, designs, thoughts/notes and ideas I have come up with more then 3 ideas.

-Photography
-Music
-The Mass Media-
Motion Graphics/Special effects/CGI

With 3 of the subjects I have just mentioned they all really came to a dead end but many of things to do with theses subjects all kind of interlinked with each other. Like photography that lead me onto telling stories through photos which lead me onto story boarding which lead me into animation then I looked into special effects and CGI. The special effects part really linked in with mass media because I looked deeper into the subject it took me through good and bad then heaven and hell then to demons and creatures not of a human form which special effects/CGI would have created in films and programs and what not to create a impact on the human imagination for the end users. I then went into the subject of music which brought me onto genres of different music which took me into a path of rock 'n' roll, I looked into the backbone of bands which is the drummer...So I wanted todo some research in drumming and one amazing fact todo with drumming is that a very famous drummer called Travis Barker(drummer for Blink 182) is one of the worlds best drummers, he broke his right arm(his strongest) and had to teach himself to play with only his left arm for a +44 tour, this inspired me very much. So I thought to myself how could I make something that would inspire people? my answer...a interactive drumming game but how would I get the end user to engage /play/interact/use, I thought I’d put motion sensors and touch pads in certain parts of the drum set, so not only would the user be having fun they would be learning to drum aswell. All this thinking just made my head want to explode so I gave myself a week off to rest from it all, I went back...sat down and went into it all with a fresh mind, I brainstormed everything and the end result was my passion Graphic Design. I know my strengths, weaknesses and what I can achieve, But I also want to learn more about it. I really want to go into the area of typography in Graphic Design but also keeping a very strong theme of graphic design. For some of you that may not know what typography is I shall explain, Typography at the most basic is a combination of font size, spacing and colour but however typography is a form of art. Some of the very best highly artistic typography is found in advertising design for example Britain was the first country to start doing graphic design which is why are visual art is simple and classy. As you may have seen on billboards there is a very limited amount of text and graphics on it which shows that British designers are simple but I don't want to go into advertising design I want to make a artistic statement of today’s political opinions/views of the world and some extremely nice pieces of typography using text as a visual medium and images. The font, letting spacing, colours, shapes and the story/point behind the piece are all important considerations for maximum visual impact, Even the smallest of points can make a huge impact in typography due to the perfections and close eye to detail. My FMP if given the chance to do this subject would be done to a high standard of detail, cleverness and quality. With my work I want the end user to interactive with the piece , understand the opinions/views/story behind it.

This blog is also going tobe used for my FMP presentation.
